Spring has sprung here in Southern Arizona! It may not be as apparent to us since we had a nearly picture-perfect mild Winter season, but flowers are definitely blooming, and those sunny skies and crisp morning temperatures are a clear reminder of what time of year it is! Spring is one of the most popular times of year to get married, especially here in Tucson. Whether you get married indoors or outside, and whether you prefer a formal or casual event, everything works here and will be just beautiful in the Springtime! You and your guests are sure to enjoy yourselves! So today, we want to share with you just a few easy tips for planning a Springtime wedding! Wedding Colors Pastels are great for Springtime weddings, but if you're tired of seeing the same old peaches and pinks, you can pair up those pale colors with something bright and vibrant! Just stick with two to three colors, and continue to use that color scheme throughout your night. That pop of bright color will really bring a lot to your decor! Reception Sites Keep in mind a guest count when deciding where to hold your wedding reception. An outdoor reception may lend itself to more flexibility when it comes to the number of guests you’ll have at your wedding and reception. When it comes to something indoors, too many people in a small space can be a bit suffocating, and it may prevent guests from being able to socialize throughout the night. On the same token, a large room with a small number of guests can feel empty and impersonal. So just make sure you have a guest count in mind before you start shopping venues. Lighting Tips Votive candles are a sure bet for any time of year for an evening wedding and/or reception. Dim light is flattering and romantic, and it sets the tone for a very elegant evening. However, colored light bulbs and LED lights are also an option to throw a little more soft color into the night. Rain?? Even though rain on a bride’s wedding day is good luck, no bride wants to worry about the chance of rain on her big day! The good news is that here in Tucson, the chance of precipitation is pretty slim in the Spring! But if you're planning that outdoor wedding and want some piece of mind, make sure you find a rental facility that can provide a back-up tent for you and your guests just in case you should need it! These are just a few tips to help ease your mind when planning your Springtime wedding!! Enjoy the process because it really should be fun!!!
And enjoy this amazing Southern Arizona weather because Summer will be here before we know it!

Hello beautiful brides! Today we are excited to announce a very exciting addition to our website, and it may just be the answer to finding that dream dress!
The 'GiGi's Closet' link, can be be found on our website, Gigibridal.com, includes some of our favorite one-of-a-kind sample dresses no longer available to order, BUT they can be purchased right off the rack to take home, and they are amazing!! At GiGi's Closet, you can view pictures of these beautiful dresses, along with a brief description of the style and material, AND the best part is, these dresses are being offered at a special purchase price! And just to give you an idea of the amazing dresses you can find, here is a preview! Today we want to share with you just a few (but VERY important) suggestions when shopping for your bridal gown. Follow these rules, and you will not only enjoy your shopping experience, but you will also find the dress of your dreams! FIRST...Find the best wedding dress silhouette for you!! Details matter on a dress...BUT not as much as the fit of a dress! The trendy dress of the moment may not be the most flattering on you, and that is ok. Find a style that compliments your body type and you'll feel great! Keep in mind the part of the dress people (and pictures) will see most.. The majority of wedding photographs are taken from the waist up. Couple that with a packed church and reception hall, and most people will never see more than the top half of your wedding dress. Keep that in mind when shopping. :) Take pictures during your fitting! Looking in a mirror is definitely necessary BUT not as necessary as seeing how the dress photographs. The dress will appear different. Materials will reflect light a certain way with flash photography, oh...and cameras don't lie. Mirrors sometimes do. :) Don't try on too many dresses! Wedding dress overload can and WILL happen if you feel the need to try on racks of dresses at each boutique you visit! Find a boutique that fits your style and price range and stick with that. You won't regret it. An audience is NOT necessary when trying on dresses. Reality TV has given brides the perception that an audience of guests is necessary to find the perfect dress. And while you may have family, friends, cousins, co-workers and bridesmaids that want to come along to be a part of your experience, keep in mind it will also come with multiple opinions, ideas, and suggestions on what YOU should be trying on and loving. To prevent that and to maintain a stress-free experience, LESS guests are MORE. Do NOT stress about wedding dress sizing! Bridal gowns run on a completely different size chart than off-the-rack clothing we buy on a day to day basis. Do not be worried if the size gown your stylist recommends to order is not your regular size. All that matters is that it is going to look amazing on you when you receive it! Ask questions!
Ask us questions! We are happy to answer them! We want to make sure you find the perfect dress for your most special day! |
